Course offer Scheme

There will be an annual public selection of 10 students. A commission of teachers of the Program will be responsible for the public selection. Each semester the Program will offer two compulsory disciplines and two elective disciplines, among those disciplines registered in the program. Therefore, the student will be required to complete two compulsory disciplines and one elective discipline, that is, three disciplines per semester, having to take all compulsory credits in disciplines within 2 semesters (24 credits in subjects).

The student will also have to fulfill four special credits, computed as follow: 1 credit for participation in scientific event with publication of summary and presentation of work, and/or four credits for publication of an article in a magazine indexed by Capes. To validate theses credits, the student will be required the deliver the supporting documents and he/she will have to meet all these requirements up to 60 days before the final delivery of the thesis.

The student will be enrolled, in each semester, in a orientation for the thesis discipline, until the date to deliver and defense of the masterʼs thesis (24 credits in dissertation). The student must be subject to a project qualification examination, marked by the supervisor, at the end of the first semester of the course, and to a thesis examination within a period of 18 months after the enrollment in the Program. The student must defend the dissertation within a period of up to 24 months after the enrollment in the Program. Total credits: 52.
